Delete your Noteify account

Deleting your account removes your sign-in and everything Noteify holds about you: your listening history, saved tracks, playlists, followed artists, muted tracks and reports. You ask in the app, and the deletion runs thirty days later.

How to delete your account in the app
  1. Open Noteify and sign in.
  2. Tap the circle with your initial in the top right corner, beside the Noteify wordmark. It is at the top of the main screens, not on the player, and it opens your account sheet.
  3. At the foot of the account sheet, tap Delete account.
  4. Read the sentence that says your account and everything Noteify holds about you will be deleted in 30 days, then tap Delete my account.
  5. The sheet now says Scheduled for deletion on and the date, thirty days from today. You can close the app; nothing else is needed.
Changing your mind

For thirty days nothing is deleted. Signing in again on any device keeps your account, and the app tells you so. If you stay signed in, the account sheet shows the deletion date with a Keep my account button that cancels it.

What is deleted

Erased
Your sign-in
Your account record, so the same email address can start again later with a blank account.
Your listening history
Every play Noteify recorded, how each one ended, each time the app came to the front, and each action you took in it.
Your library
Your saved tracks, your playlists, the artists you follow and the tracks you muted.
Reports
Any track reports you filed.
Your stats and the analytics copy
Your listening stats and every copy of your records in our analytics store, in stages that finish within a few hours of the thirty days.

What is kept

Stays
A record of the deletion
Your account's internal identifier and the dates the deletion ran, so we can show it happened. It holds nothing you played and neither your email address nor your name.
Backups, briefly
Our analytics provider keeps deleted rows recoverable for up to fourteen days as part of its own backup window. After that they are gone from everywhere.
The music
Noteify hosts no music, so nothing about the tracks themselves changes.
How long it takes

Thirty days from the moment you confirm, then a few hours for the deletion to finish in stages. The date the account sheet shows is the day it runs.

If you can no longer sign in

Email support@whatisyourlife.com from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We confirm the account is yours, schedule the same thirty-day deletion, and reply when it is scheduled.

Remove some of your Noteify data

You can prune your library yourself, in the app, and keep your account. Each change takes effect at once and follows you to every device you sign in on.

What you can remove

In the app
A saved track
Tap Saved on the player, or in the track's sheet, and it is no longer saved.
A track in a playlist
Open the track's sheet from inside the playlist and tap Remove from this playlist.
A playlist
Open the playlist and tap Delete, then confirm. The tracks themselves stay in the catalogue.
A followed artist
Open the artist's page and tap Following to unfollow.
A muted track
Open the track's sheet and tap Muted to let it play again. Your muted tracks are listed under Library.

What you cannot remove on its own

Stays
Listening history
There is no way to edit or clear your history in the app today. It is deleted with your account.
Reports
A report you filed cannot be withdrawn in the app. It is deleted with your account.
